Bring on the cold

I did 5 really tough miles today! I couldn't get into a grove in this run until the very end. It sucked. I sucked! After the run, I felt tired and hungry all day long. I couldn't snap out of it... not a good day.

It was extremely humid today too. By the time I got back from the run, I was dripping wet in sweat. Even after my shower I felt like I could not cool down. It looks like we'll have a couple more hot days then this weekend it will go down to the 60's again for highs.

Hate to admit it, but I'm looking forward to cold days. Hell,... bring on winter. I'm ready.

Ok.... not that ready.... :(

Be careful what you wish for!

I'm with you - I love winter running, and the cold too. Granted, by February I'll be bitching like a crazy person, but now? Bring it on!

Depends on where you live. Mornings here are in the 50s right now and it feels great to run in. Once the 20ยบ days of Winter get here, I'll probably stick to a treadmill or indoor track being the wimp that I am.

Somedays I have to run 6 or 7 miles before the tightness and fatigue of previous day's workouts give way.

I'm with you, the heat of this summer has been brutal and I've had my butt kicked on too many long runs this summer. I love these fall days that are coming though - just barely warm enough to run in short sleeves!
